FREEDOM!!!

I believe we live in a great country. While we have seen division and hate over the past few years, I still think we have a lot of history in this country to celebrate. From the arrival of the first Americans to the victory of the American Revolution, there are many reasons to be thankful for the United States of America.

Today, you will probably hear the word "Freedom" many times. Being that this is Independence Day, it is only natural to hear the word "Freedom." As Americans, the term "Freedom" symbolizes the victory won against the British. But "Freedom" means so much more when you look at the word through the eyes of a Christian.

As Christians, we have freedom in Christ. Today's verse comes from 2 Corinthians 3:17. Paul, the author of 2 Corinthians 3:17, tells us that "17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

Today, remember that you have been set free if you are a Christian. While you may be celebrating America's freedom today, you can always celebrate the freedom that is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. The freedom found in Christ is available to all who surrender their life to Jesus.
