Content in Christ
Philippians 4:10-13
8/29/22
Could you be content in Christ if your world was crashing in on you? If everything was not going right, could you be content in Christ? Could you be content in Christ if life went from bad to worse?
What if the opposite was true? If you received everything you ever wanted, could you be content in Christ? Would you be content in Christ if you were not in a storm? If you were the top of the mountain, could you be content in Christ?
Paul knew what it meant to be content in Christ. We experienced the highs and lows of life. Through it all, he remained content in Christ. Today’s verses remind us of how Paul experienced beatings and rejoicing. Through everything he experienced, he remained focused on Jesus.
Whether we are in the storms of life or celebrating the joys, being content in Christ is not easy. It is easy to question God when life is tough. It is easy to forget God when life is going well.
Today, take a lesson from Paul and remain content in Christ in all seasons and situations in life. We all know what it means to have things and what it means to be without. But do we all know what it means to be content in Christ?
