The Verse: That Whoever Believes in Him

One of my favorite years in school was in 6th grade. I had two amazing and fun teachers and excellent friend groups. At this time, I was slowly beginning to mature as I became less worried about how people would perceive me for having alopecia/not having hair.

My favorite thing about 6th grade was the intense football games at recess. We had the same teams each day we played, and we battled it out like we were playing for the final spot in the Super Bowl. I was often known as one of the best receivers on the team I was always on. (Not trying to brag because look at how far my football career went)

One thing that made those games unique was the feeling of inclusion. I was on a team and picked to play by some of the guys who went on to play on the varsity team in high school. It felt great to be included on a team because it felt like I was wanted and appreciated.

Christ feels the same way about you. He does not need you to satisfy Him but wants you to experience eternal salvation. Next week we will discuss what it means to "not perish," but this week, we are focusing on who salvation is available for.

Greg Laurie, Pastor of Harvest Church and producer of Jesus Revolution (Go See It), says, "Some believe you are predestined to hell, and others believe you are predestined to Heaven. I reject that completely." I agree with Greg Laurie. God wants you to be with Him.

Titus 2:11 says, "For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people." The word "man" here refers to "Mankind" as a category, not an individual. We learn that when Jesus died, He offered His body as a sacrifice to all who believe in Him. As we have discussed, salvation is only available to those who trust in Christ in faith alone.

It is essential not to get so wrapped up in theological discussions on who is saved, who is not, or who is the elect and who is not. Charles Spurgeon said, "God, save all the elect, and then elect some more." What matters is if you are sharing the Gospel.

Today, who can you share the Gospel with?
