The 3 C You
How would you like to live in:
Completeness
Confidence
Courage
You might feel you have been made complete but lacking confidence and courage. Perhaps you are a confident person but not courageous. Where do you find yourself today?
When I lost my hair to alopecia, I felt I lost all three of these in my life. I did not feel complete because I lost a part of myself. I was not confident because, as a nine-year-old third grader with no hair, people made fun of me for my looks. Finally, I lost the courage to express who I was. So, I hid my imperfections by wearing hats any time I had to go out in public. I even wore hats to church and school because I did not want to reveal my hair loss.
But now, I use my hair loss to share how God can make you complete, confident, and courageous. How does He do this?
Look at who God used in the Bible and who He uses now to accomplish His will. What do they all have in common?
They are imperfect people.
Let’s look at Moses’ interaction with God in Exodus 3.
God knows Moses by name (Exodus 3:4). He knows the situation in which Moses and his people are living (Exodus 3:7-9). God wanted to use Moses to rescue His people (Exodus 3:10).
What did Moses do? Moses questioned God (Exodus 3:11).
God’s response was one of mercy, grace, and promise. He told Moses He would be with him, and God delivered on that promise (Exodus 3:12). Not only that, but God revealed His name to Moses (Exodus 3:14).
Becoming a confident, courageous, and complete person starts with a relationship with Jesus.
Moses went from no confidence, courage, and completeness to becoming one of the greatest leaders ever. How? He started with a relationship with God and trusted in His promises.
Having a relationship with Jesus fills the empty void in your life and makes you complete. We were made for a relationship with God. Once we are filled with Jesus' goodness and grace, we have the confidence and courage to participate in God’s will for our lives because we know He will be with us, just like He was with Moses and others.
Today, you can become a “3 C Person” by starting a relationship with Jesus and allowing Him to reveal His calling for your life.
